Crodurets are vegetable-derived nonionic surfactants that differ in their degrees of ethoxylation. Widely used in a variety of oral formulations, they are virtually tasteless solubilisers for vitamins, medicated mouthwashes, essential oils, certain drugs and for propellants in aerosol vehicles. They are also excellent emollients, superfatting agents and O/W emulsifiers and emulsion stabilisers. Recommended topical usage levels of 0.5-10%.
